2024 AGM: April 7th 1-2pm @ Harry Jerome

Hey Everyone,

First, thanks so much to all the teams who participated in the UBC-VMS Watershow and brought family and friends out to support the club. The evening was a huge success and we are already excited to partner with UBC again for shows next year!

Next, we have scheduled our Annual General Meeting for Sunday, April 7th from 1-2pm. The AGM will take place in-person at Harry Jerome before our scheduled practice (2:15-4:15pm).

The AGM is a great opportunity to gather as a club and talk about this past season, as well as next. We do need to have a certain amount of the club present, so please please please consider coming!! It's a great way to let your voice be heard when it comes to managing the club. Here are some topics we are hoping to cover in this year's AGM:

• Name change to reflect the sports name of artistic swimming (more to come via email)

• Finances and more consistent invoicing

• International competition opportunities in future seasons

• A new exec position specific to fundraising(!!)

• Anything else!

If you are interested in joining the exec of the club, our current exec are all staying on, but we are looking for a 7th member to coordinate more fundraiser opportunities. If you're interested in supporting the club but aren't sure if you want to join the exec, feel free to reach out and we can chat!

If there's anything you want to bring up in the AGM, please email me in advance so we can add it to the agenda.

Finally, I am hoping to organize a little end-of-season party for the club to come together and socialize. However, as I live in a tiny 1-bedroom apartment, I need help with the venue! If you have a larger space that you are willing to open up to the club for a few hours, please let me know :).

Once we have a location we can coordinate the date & time.
