About VMAS
Vancouver Masters Artistic Swimming is an inclusive and diverse club that welcomes adult swimmers of all ages, genders, synchro backgrounds and fitness levels. Our members include athletes who compete at the National and International level as well as those who are learning synchro for the first time.
Potential new members should be ready to learn new skills, contribute in a friendly atmosphere and have a lot of fun! In this website, you’ll find further details about our competitive and novice programs to help guide you to the program that’s right for you.
Meet the Coaches
Head Coach
Jordan Wuest
Jordan grew up in the city and swam with Vancouver Pacific Wave, competing nationally for 6 years. After retiring due to injury she turned her focus to coaching with the club for another 6 years. She spent some time away from the pool and returned to synchro in 2014 with VMS. She’s been focused on club development and providing opportunities to swim for every athlete. It was such a thrill and a moment of tremendous pride to be able to attend the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest! She’s looking forward to what the upcoming season has in store to the club.
Coach
Christina Demiris
Christina has been coaching with VMAS since 2010. Throughout the years, she has been so fortunate to work with such an inspiring group of athletes. Some memorable moments with the club have been coaching routines at the 2014 and 2017 FINA World Masters competitions. In addition to coaching, she is a PanAm Level G judge that loves to give back to the sport that has given so much joy to her.
