Hi Everyone,
It feels like it's taken us forever to get here, but we're finally ready to get back into the water. Personally, I'm convinced I'll sink straight to the bottom as soon as I jump in.
If you've signed up to swim during the Fall session, here's what you need to do before Sunday's practice:
1) Watch the safety video, if you weren't able to attend Monday's zoom session (thank you again to Erin and Rhonda for putting that together!). The video is on our website (https://www.vanmasterssynchro.ca/), and Erin sent out the link earlier in the week.
2) Complete the registration form. This is the official registration form, not the intent-to-register that you completed last month. Here's the link: https://forms.gle/7roGpWCoQ29ECoW38
3) Pay us money! We've calculated our fees based on the predicted number of swimmers. Here's the breakdown of what those fees are: A. BC Artistic Swimming Registration Fee (due Oct. 18) $120; B. Training fees paid as either one lump sum of $225 (due Oct. 18), or two payments of $120 each (due Oct. 18 & Nov. 20). Normally, at the beginning of the season, we also charge a club fee to cover overhead costs. Due to the increased cost of training, we've decided to delay that fee until January (we're exploring ways to reduce, or even eliminate that fee - we'll keep you posted). We accept e-transfers (please add $1 to the overall total to cover bank fees), cheques (brought to practice) or cash (please seal in an envelope with your full name and total amount written on the outside; also brought to practice). If you have any questions about fees, please email Erin at vmstreasurer@gmail.com.
There's a significant increase in the paperwork and red tape we have to complete this year, for obvious reasons, so please bear with us if we continue to send you messages with important information. We don't have the luxury of being able to see all of you in-person. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
See some of you on Sunday!
Meghan
