About
The VMS development program is designed for swimmers who have little to no synchro experience, but who want to participate and compete in a team atmosphere. In order to be a part of the development program, you need to have taken VMS novice lessons or have basic training in core synchro skills (our coaches can help you guide you to the correct program).
Potential new swimmers can look forward to learning a lot of new skills as well as working in a non-pressured and social environment. The development program is also an ideal way to either get back into the sport after a long absence, or to improve your synchro abilities for the purpose of joining the competitive program. Swimmers in the development program typically compete in the team event (although other routines are possible) at the Regional and Provincial level.
Practices are typically Sundays 7 – 10 pm (7 – 8 dryland training; 8 – 10 water) at Britannia Pool. Additional practices are sometimes added depending on routine numbers.
